This large apartment is on
Lungomare, the street in Ortigia which runs along the seafront. The
apartment is on the 2nd floor (third floor for Americans) of an historical
building which was completely restored in 2001. Measuring 60sq.m. the
apartment has a 18sq.m. terrace which overlooks the sea. From both apartment
and terrace there are beautiful views. The bathroom is complete with shower.
Apart from the sleeping area with queen-size double bed, wardrobe and chest
of drawers, the sitting area has a low table, a double sofa bed, easy chair,
colour TV. There is also a fitted cooking area and a dining area with table
and chairs. All the areas are communicating. The apartment is furnished with
taste and has air conditioning. The terrace is furnished with a bench and
garden table and chairs and umbrella. This apartment can accomodate 4
people.

main door of the building for picking up and setting down.

The three level apartment, found
in a detached building on Lungomare (the street in Ortigia which runs
along the seafront) was completely restored in 2001. The 30sq.m. ground
floor (first floor for Americans) has a cooking area of 11 sq.m. and a
sitting/dining area of 19sq.m. with tables and chairs. On the 35sq.m. first
floor (second floor for Americans) there is a bathroom complete with shower
and washing machine and a sitting room with an easy chair, a double sofa bed,
two small cupboards, two tables and a T.V.
One balcony overlooking the sea
On the second floor (third floor for Americans) there is a 16 sq.m. bedroom
and a terrace that measures 16sq.m. The bedroom is furnished with a
queen-sized double bed, a chest of drawers and a fitted wardrobe. A glass
wall separates the bedroom from a terrace which has a beautiful view over
the sea and is furnished with a table, garden chairs and an umbrella. The
apartment has air-conditioning on the first and second floors (second and
third floors for Americans) and can accommodate up to 4 people. The price is
not inclusive of use of electricity.

This villa is 20km. from
Siracusa, in the area around Solarino where it is set in the typical
Sicilian countryside surrounded by a park made up of olive trees, many of
which have been there for hundreds of years, Mediterranean vegetation and
tropical plants. The park is cared for by a gardener and measures
15.000sq.m. The villa 160 sq.m. is stone clad and blends well with the
surrounding countryside. On entering we find ourselves in a 60sq.m. sitting
room with parquet flooring and stone clad walls decorated with valuable
Caltagirone ceramics dating back to the 18thC. In the middle of the sitting
room is a large fireplace surrounded by: - a sitting area with a large sofa,
2 ottomans, antique furniture a TV and stereo - a dining area with a large
dining table set along a picture window overlooking the garden - a recess
with a double sofa bed and a small stereo unit.
The fully fitted kitchen is separated from the dining area by a long fitted
cupboard. This kitchen contains a table and chairs and is large enough to be
used for dining. There is also a large bathroom with shower on the ground
floor (first floor for Americans) and a double bedroom measuring 14sq.m.
Access to the first floor (second floor for Americans), which is in effect a
tower, is via a staircase in a delightfully decorated room measuring 15sq.m.
On the first floor (second floor for Americans), measuring 20sq.m. we find a
bathroom with shower and a double bedroom. The tower offers beautiful views
over the surrounding countryside. In the distance can be seen Siracusa and
the sea. Outside can be found: - a covered veranda furnished with garden
furniture and deck chairs - a pergola - a covered veranda complete with a
table created in brickwork and covered in antique tiling - a small
outbuilding designed for outdoor cooking with a stone barbeque and oven.
The undoubtedly luxurious villa is perfect for an anyone seeking a holiday
in fascinating and restful surroundings whilst being only 15km. from the sea
and in easy distance of the principle towns of the east coast such as
Catania, Ragusa, Caltagirone and Mount Etna, and the main archaeological
sites. The nearest shop is 2km. away. The villa can accommodate 8 people.
Parking is possible within the grounds of the property.
